Zooey Deschanel is overrated. I honestly don’t think she’s a very good singer at all, and to me, she’s kinda pretty. Pretty, not drop dead gorgeous. I’ve also seen her in a few movies, and really, it’s nothing special.. I don’t know why everyone’s making a big deal out of her.

I LOVE her voice, there is no doubt to that.

She & Him very quickly became one of my favorite artists after hearing them.   Reminds me of Barney Kessel era Julie London.

However.   I’m not overly impressed with her acting.  Then again, I don’t think much of most actors anyway.

I’m certainly not impressed with the movies/TV shows she’s been in. 

Elf?  LOVE ELF.  That being said, I also can’t stand Will Ferrell.  
The movie is great despite the actors, not because of them.

500 Days of Summer?   Meh.
I don’t care that she was upfront about her actions.  In my book, her actions make her a whore.

The New Girl?  Can’t stand it.  I seriously can’t stand it.

She’s Snooki for a different clique.  She is playing a character that the media portrays as being her actual personality.
AKA.   Everyone assumes that Zooey, in real life, acts like Jess from The New Girl.

Kind of like how people seem to think that Snooki is always just like that and that it’s not an act.
