Looking up 90s slang.

I don’t know why this struck me as funny, but it did:

  • All…
    As in “I’m all” or “She was all…” A replacement for the term “like”. Usually seems to mean “says” or “said”. “He was all, ‘Are you mad at me?’ and I was all ‘No way, what are you talking about?’

I think I’ve usually heard
“S/He was all LIKE ‘you mad, bro?’”

The word “like” is usually used.

Maybe I’m not 90’s enough XD.

Still pretty funny.   As much as I love slang terms from previous generations, I think this just made me realize that I don’t really know many slang terms from my own generation, or the generation before me.  I just accept things as the way they are, instead of thinking about it as slang.
